VI Peel®

Transform Your Skin in One Week

Experience dramatic improvement in pigmentation, acne, texture, and aging with this medical-grade peel that delivers visible results after just one treatment.

What Concerns Does VI Peel Address?

You deserve skin that makes you feel confident. Whether you’re battling stubborn pigmentation, acne scarring, sun damage, or signs of aging, these concerns can significantly impact how you feel about your appearance.

VI Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel that addresses multiple skin concerns in one powerful treatment. At Talessa Aesthetics in Allentown, board-certified physician At Talessa Aesthetics in Allentown, Dr. Liz and her team use VI Peel to create dramatic skin transformation for patients throughout the Lehigh Valley.

This isn’t a gentle spa peel. VI Peel combines a synergistic blend of powerful acids, vitamins, and minerals that penetrate deep into your skin to create real, visible change. The result is clearer, brighter, more even-toned skin with improved texture and reduced signs of aging.

What makes VI Peel unique is its ability to address multiple concerns simultaneously. While other treatments target one specific issue, VI Peel improves pigmentation, acne, texture, fine lines, and overall skin quality—all in one treatment.

Common Concerns We Treat

  • Hyperpigmentation and melasma
  • Sun damage and age spots
  • Active acne and breakouts
  • Acne scars and post-inflammatory marks
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Uneven skin tone and texture
  • Dull, lackluster complexion
  • Enlarged pores
  • Overall skin aging and damage

How VI Peel Works

VI Peel uses a proprietary blend of powerful ingredients that work synergistically to transform your skin from within. The formulation includes TCA (trichloroacetic acid), retinoic acid, salicylic acid, phenol, and vitamin C—each ingredient targeting different skin concerns.

When your Talessa provider applies VI Peel to your skin, these ingredients penetrate the outer layers and trigger controlled exfoliation. Over the following days, damaged skin cells shed away, revealing the fresh, healthy skin underneath. But VI Peel does more than just remove surface damage.

The peel stimulates collagen production, reduces melanin production that causes pigmentation, kills acne-causing bacteria, and promotes cellular turnover. Think of it as hitting the reset button on your skin—removing the damage while encouraging your skin to produce new, healthy cells.

VI Peel is unique because it contains a numbing agent, making application comfortable. The peel also includes vitamin C and other antioxidants that minimize inflammation and support healing. This means better results with less discomfort than traditional chemical peels.

The peeling process begins around day 3 and continues for 3-7 days. Your skin will visibly flake and shed—this is exactly what should happen as damaged skin is replaced by fresh, healthy skin. Once peeling is complete, you’ll reveal dramatically improved skin.

Treatments take about 20-30 minutes at our Allentown office. The application is quick, and you go home with the peel on your skin to continue working.

Why Choose VI Peel at Talessa Aesthetics?

When you choose VI Peel at Talessa Aesthetics, you’re choosing a sanctuary where medical excellence meets genuine care. Dr. Liz founded Talessa because she believes you deserve both expert treatment and personal attention throughout your wellness journey in the Lehigh Valley.

Dramatic Results in One Treatment

While most peels require multiple treatments to see results, VI Peel delivers dramatic improvement after just one session. This makes it ideal if you have an upcoming event or simply want to see significant change quickly.

Addresses Multiple Concerns

VI Peel is remarkably versatile. It simultaneously treats pigmentation, acne, texture, fine lines, and overall skin quality. You don’t need multiple different treatments—VI Peel addresses everything at once.

Safe for All Skin Types

Unlike some chemical peels that can cause hyperpigmentation in darker skin tones, VI Peel is safe and effective for all skin types and ethnicities. This makes it accessible for diverse patients seeking skin improvement.

Minimal Discomfort

VI Peel contains a numbing agent that makes application comfortable. Most patients experience only mild tingling or warmth during treatment—not the intense stinging some chemical peels cause.

Predictable Peeling Process

You’ll know exactly what to expect. Peeling typically starts around day 3 and continues for several days. While visible, the peeling is manageable and worth the dramatic results that follow.

Medical-Grade Formulation

This isn’t a cosmetic-grade peel you can get at a spa. VI Peel is a medical treatment that requires physician oversight. You’re getting professional-strength ingredients that create real transformation.

Physician-Led Expertise

VI Peel treatments are performed by trained Talessa providers under Dr. Liz’s oversight. Our team ensures proper application, an appropriate treatment approach for your skin, and support for any concerns during the healing process.

At Talessa Aesthetics, VI Peel is part of your complete wellness journey—addressing not just how you look, but how you feel about your skin and confidence.

What to Expect During Your VI Peel Treatment

Before Your Treatment

Your journey begins with a personalized consultation with Dr. Liz at our Allentown office. She’ll assess your skin concerns, discuss your goals, and determine if VI Peel is right for you.

Your journey begins with a personalized consultation with a Talessa provider at our Allentown office. Your provider will assess your skin concerns, discuss your goals, and determine if VI Peel is right for you.

Stop using retinoids, acids, and other active ingredients for several days before your peel. Avoid sun exposure and waxing for at least a week prior. Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup.

After Your Treatment

For the first 24 hours, your skin will feel tight and look slightly red or flushed. Day 2, your skin may darken and feel dry. Around day 3, visible peeling begins—this is when the transformation happens.

The peeling process continues for 3-7 days. Your skin will flake and shed visibly—this can look dramatic but is completely normal and expected. Do not pick or pull at peeling skin. Let it shed naturally.

During the peeling phase, avoid sun exposure, wear SPF religiously, and use only the recommended gentle skincare products. No makeup, active ingredients, or harsh cleansers until peeling is complete.

Once shedding is finished, you’ll reveal dramatically improved skin—clearer, brighter, smoother, and more even-toned.

During Your Treatment

Your Talessa provider begins by thoroughly cleansing your skin to remove any oils or residue. They then apply the VI Peel solution evenly across your treatment areas using a brush or applicator.

You’ll feel some tingling or warmth during application—this is normal and indicates the peel is working. The numbing agent in the formula makes this very tolerable. The entire application process takes about 20-30 minutes.

After application, your skin will have a yellowish tint from the peel. You’ll go home with the peel on your skin, where it continues working for the next 4-6 hours. You’ll remove it yourself at home following the specific instructions provided.

Am I a Good Candidate for VI Peel?

VI Peel can be a wonderful option for adults looking to address pigmentation, acne, aging, or overall skin quality. During your consultation at our Allentown office, your Talessa provider will assess your skin and medical history to ensure VI Peel aligns with your needs.

When Will I See Results?

VI Peel delivers visible results after just one treatment, though the transformation happens progressively as your skin goes through the peeling and healing process.

Your Results Timeline

Initial Phase

Days 1-2 after treatment, your skin appears red, tight, and may darken. This is normal—the peel is working beneath the surface. You won’t see improvement yet, but the transformation process has begun.

Visible Improvement

Around day 3, visible peeling begins. Over the next 3-7 days, damaged skin sheds away in sheets or large flakes. This can look dramatic but is exactly what should happen. Once peeling is complete (usually by day 7), you’ll reveal dramatically improved skin—clearer, brighter, more even-toned, and smoother. Pigmentation is visibly reduced, acne is improved, texture is refined, and overall skin quality is enhanced.

Lasting Results

Initial results last several months. For optimal, long-lasting transformation, most patients complete a series of 3-6 VI Peels spaced 4-6 weeks apart. This progressive approach addresses skin concerns at multiple levels and creates comprehensive improvement.

Maintaining Your Results

After your initial treatment or series, maintenance VI Peels every 3-6 months help sustain your results. Proper skincare, daily SPF, and healthy habits preserve your improved skin long-term.

Questions? We have answers!

Does VI Peel hurt?

VI Peel contains a numbing agent that makes application comfortable. Most patients experience mild tingling or warmth during treatment—not intense pain. You may feel tightness and sensitivity after application, but this is manageable. The peeling process itself doesn’t hurt, though your skin will feel tight and dry.

The peeling is visible and can look dramatic—your skin will shed in sheets or large flakes, particularly around your mouth, chin, and forehead. While this might feel socially awkward, it’s temporary and necessary for the dramatic results. Most patients plan to stay home or work remotely during the peak peeling days (days 3-5). The results are absolutely worth a few days of visible shedding.
No makeup should be worn until peeling is completely finished. Makeup can interfere with the shedding process and may cause irritation. Once peeling is done (usually day 7), you can resume normal makeup application. Plan accordingly if you have important events or meetings.
You’ll see dramatic improvement after just one VI Peel. However, for optimal results—especially for stubborn pigmentation or significant sun damage—most patients complete a series of 3-6 peels spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Each treatment builds on the previous one, creating progressive transformation.
VI Peel is highly effective for melasma and hyperpigmentation. Many patients see significant lightening after one treatment, though melasma often requires a series for best results. Melasma can be stubborn and may return without proper sun protection and maintenance, so ongoing care is essential.
Avoid sun exposure, picking at peeling skin, using active ingredients (retinoids, acids, vitamin C), hot water, sweating/exercise, and harsh skincare products. Only use the recommended gentle cleanser and moisturizer. Wear SPF 30+ daily, even indoors. Don’t wax, use exfoliants, or undergo other facial treatments until healing is complete.
